After sailing from Norway to France, Tamara set down to complete her architecture degree in Nantes and to prepare the small 26-foot Sardinha for a longer journey. In 2021 she solo-sailed from Lorient (France) to Paraty, Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). She covered 5000 nautical miles in 3 months and was the youngest Latin American to cross the Atlantic singlehanded.

She shares the journey in the book "Nós: o Atlântico em solitário" (published by Companhia das Letras, in Brazil) and in the 2-episode documentary on YouTube.
